Village Tournaments

What it is

The Three Bows: a village tournament where you fight three stewards in a row, using only your blade and Aura. Win all three and you earn a technique scroll, Aura Shards and a history book.

The timber registration stand, stitched standards and waiting stewards in game

How to get it

A village needs at least three living villagers near its bell. By day, visitors set up a timber registration stand and four cloth standards on flat, dry, open ground 20 to 44 blocks from the bell. Hillside villages may have no room.

The first gathering opens when you are near the stand in daylight. It lasts one Minecraft day. A new one can open every three days while players and villagers are around.

How to use it

  1. Hold an Aura weapon, in Survival, with no duel or spar running.
  2. Stand on the arena side of the stand. The arena centre is six blocks north of it.
  3. Use the stand to read the rules, then use it again within ten seconds to accept.

Each bout has a three-second countdown, an 8-block arena radius and a two-minute limit. Each steward fights at your current Aura stage, with a different breathing method. Knockouts are not lethal: the health your opponent took from you comes back.

After each win, return to the stand within one minute for the next bout. Losing, a draw, leaving the arena, logging out or an interruption ends your run. You can try again while the gathering is open.

Any spell that touches your opponent disqualifies you, even if you win the bout.

The prize

Three knockout wins in a row give you all of these:

  • a technique scroll of your choice,
  • three Aura Shards,
  • The Three Bows, a three-page village history.

At the stand, sneak and use to cycle the scroll choice. It starts on a part you don’t know yet. Use normally to claim. An unclaimed prize stays saved for you. You also get Aura experience, and the win counts as the pure-Aura duel trial. You can win once per gathering.

Tips and counterplay

  • Watch for prepared cuts and step off their line.
  • An axe can break a raised guard.
  • The next steward’s method is announced before the countdown. Plan your counters.
  • Aura Shards forge the Bulwark Maul and Skyrend Glaive.

Server settings

aura_world.tournaments turns stand creation and bouts on or off. Creating stands also follows the mob spawning and mob griefing game rules. Unclaimed prizes stay saved while it’s off.
