Heal yourself Self · Heal Restores your own health.
Fast frost Bolt · Gyre Circle · Frost A faster frost bolt with a little less power.
Group healing Burst · Bloom Circle · Heal Heals a wider area, but less per ally.
Longer mining Self · Anchor Circle · Haste Haste lasts longer, for more mana.
Mixed beam Beam · Confluence Circle · Fire · Shock Two elements in one beam for extra power.
Two-stage attack Bolt · Needle Circle · Fire · On Hit · Burst · Bloom Circle · Frost A tight fire shot, then a wide frost burst where it lands.
Cover Self · Strata Rise Raises a stone wall to hide behind.
Climbing Self · Wind Steps Builds platforms ahead of you.

How to get it

You need to know every rune in the spell, and wear a Cord with enough sockets and a high enough tier. See Cords. A spell with a fused rune needs that fusion too.

The quickest way to load one is to paste its spell code with the Cord screen’s Paste spell code button. See The Cord Screen.

How to use it

Read a spell in groups. In the two-stage attack, Bolt starts the first group and Needle Circle changes it. On Hit waits for the bolt to land, then Burst starts a second group with its own Bloom Circle.

The Cord screen’s readout shows the real price with your gear and ranks. If it shows a warning, fix that first. Learn the rules on How a Spell Is Read.

Tips and counterplay

  • Change one rune at a time and test on a dummy. See Practice and Trials. A dummy doesn’t wear armour, so players will take less.
  • Save what works. Keep whole setups in Loadouts, or up to 24 named spells in the Research Notebook. Saving a spell doesn’t teach its runes.
  • Bring more than an attack. Carry a shield, heal or escape spell too.
